Pet Naturals of Vermont Product Review

Legal Stuff: I got these products for free in exchange for a review. If my review is a positive one, I will receive a free years supply. I think that's kind of shady, but I'mma be totally honest with you guys and my review will be my own, honest opinion. Besides, if I didn't like the product, why would I want more? I'm also telling you this in case you see a review for their product from someone else and they don't mention the incentive to write a nice review about the company. On to the review!

I was given two products to review from Pet Naturals of Vermont: Hip + Joint: Bone-Shaped Chews for Medium and Large Dogs, and Flea + Tick Repellant Wipes.

Pet Naturals of Vermont's Hip and Joint: Bone-Shaped Chews

I used the Hip + Joint on both dogs. I used it on Nessie because she is a Tripawd dog, and tripawds are known for having joint problems when they get older due to the added stress on the remaining three legs. Nessie also has problems currently with her joints, though it isn't too bad. She just has a hard time jumping up onto the bed at night, and sometimes her limp is more pronounced after she has had an active day.

I also have given it to Princess because she has joint problems of her own, primarily in her back hips. Her particular breed-based on what we can guess about her breed- is prone to getting hip dysplasia. It's very hard to describe precisely what is going on with her back hips, but she tends to sit with her knees tucked under her. They also seem... loose is the best way to describe it. So she gets these treats also.

Both dogs LOVE the Hip + Joint: Bone-Shaped Chews. They're not big chews, but they aren't super tiny, either. Probably a little less than an inch in size. The dogs got to try the Chicken Liver flavor, and boy, do they love it. It's like giving these dogs crack.

With Nessie, I have noticed a difference in her joint health. She has been having an easier time jumping onto the bed at night. Our bed is quite high off the ground, but she's been able to jump up on it with no problem. And she can jump on and off and on and off and back on without struggling during the last few jumps like she normally would. Oh, I didn't make her jump on and off and on and off, that's just how her and Princess play.

On the other hand, I haven't noticed much of a difference with Princess. I think if I wanted to see any major difference in Princess I'd have to exercise her 2-3 times more often along with the Hip + Joint chews. Or maybe she's just doomed to sit funny forever.

Pet Naturals of Vermont's Flea and Tick Repellant Wipes

I didn't use these on Nessie, but I did use them on Princess.

We have an ant colony in our backyard. They're annoying and impossible to get rid of. It happens to be Princess' favorite spot to lie down. And she wonders why she's always itchy! Our backyard also is filled with lots of other types of bugs. I haven't noticed any fleas or ticks and I haven't noticed any on either of the dogs, but Princess is ALWAYS itchy and is scratching or biting herself.

This product is supposed to repel fleas, ticks, mosquitos, and flies. While I have no proof that it works on any of these, I know that when I use the wipes on Princess in the morning, she won't scratch for most of the day, even when I'm mean and make her stay outside for hours. I personally like the smell of the wipes, but I know some people will think it's strong. Also, after you use the wipes- if you don't use gloves- you will want to wash your hands thoroughly. The scent and oils really stick.

When I got the package, the lid was open and I was really concerned they would be dried out and useless. I don't know how long the lid was off, but the wipes were still damp-probably because they use oils instead of water-based ingredients. That was definitely a plus for me.

My only con with this product is that it's somewhat difficult to get the wipes out of the canister. I gave up trying to pull it through the lid-thing (it's like Clorox wipes) and I just take the top off to get to the wipes.

Overall

Overall I'd say both of these products were a hit and I'd be happy to use the products on a consistent basis. I like that the products are natural and I don't have to worry about how these products will harm me or my dogs as time goes on. Flea and Tick products are usually so toxic they tell you to wear a Hazmat suit. I'm much more comfortable using this on my fur babies than toxic shampoo. And anything that makes Nessie's life easier makes me happy. It's seriously like doggy crack that's good for them.

100 People Will Get These For Free

100 people will receive the Flea + Tick for free, and 100 people will receive the Hip + Joint for free. After the first 100, Pet Naturals of Vermont will give away valuable coupons so that everyone will get a chance to try their products.

Princess the Puppy Vacation

Princess The Puppy will be taking a vacation until May 1st. We need time to relax and we are still recovering from my surgery late last month and Princess's surgery a few days after that. As much as I hate to, I need to focus on my recovery, both mental and physical, which means taking a vacation from blogging.

We will miss all of you very much. Hopefully these next few weeks will fly by so we can see you again.

Thank you for your understanding.

Megan, Princess, and Nessie.

We'll just take a nap until May 1st. See you then!

Post-Surgery Cuddles

Princess and I both had similar surgeries. I had a laparoscopic surgery and she was spayed. We have been not-so-patiently waiting through the healing period by cuddling and watching lots of Netflix. Thank goodness the wait is almost over.

A Microchip Alternative: mobiPET Review

On Sunday, I talked about why you might not want to microchip your pet. I also mentioned that I found an alternative. Well, here it is.

Disclaimer: I was given this product for free in exchange for a review. The opinions here are mine, and mine alone.
The mobiPET kit is the first photo amber alert system for your pets.
mobiPET Kit

This is mobiPET.

It's a photo amber alert system for your pets. It lets pet parents activate an immediate search for their lost pet from any cell phone or computer. Cool, huh?

Unlike microchips, it starts working as soon as Fido or Mr. Whiskers goes missing.

Let me share a possible scenario that can play out with mobiPET.

Princess: Mom, can I go to the dog party my friend Spot is having? She's going to have dog treats and squeaky toys and dog beer!

Me: Dog beer? Aren't you a little young for dog beer?

Princess: O-M-G Mom! *Exaggerated eye roll* Everyone drinks dog beer. It doesn't even have alcohol.

Me: Will Spot's parents be there?

Cute puppy named Princess wants to party.
Princess: Well....

Me: The answer's no. I'm not letting you go to a party that lacks proper supervision. If you are quiet while I take a bubble bath, I'll take you to the dog park.

I soak in the tub until my fingers are all wrinkly. After emerging from the bathroom nice and relaxed, I look around for Princess. She isn't in her kennel, nor in the bathroom, nor in the kitchen.

Me: Nessie, where's Princess?

Nessie: I don't know. I took a nap while you were in the tub.

I panic. Where did Princess go? Where has my fur baby gone!? I check every room and race outside. Princess has disappeared.

mobiPET key tags instruct what to do if your pet goes missing.
mobiPET Key Tags
I grab my car keys so I can search for her when I notice my mobiPET key tag. With mobiPET, I can have an email with Princess' information sent to every vet, animal shelter, and boarder within 30 miles of me. It also sends out a text message to every registered pet finder within 2 miles of me. That's one less thing to worry about.

I follow the direction on the key tag and then hop in my car to continue the search.

What I didn't know was Princess decided to sneak off to the party. If she was going to maintain her status as one of the popular dogs at the bark park, she had to make an appearance. Otherwise she'd have to hear everyone talk about the party and she'd be the odd canine out.

Puppy escapes from backyard through the fence.
Princess decides to go party.

But Princess forgot that she doesn't know how to get to Spot's house. We only see Spot at the dog park. After a few blocks, Princess is hopelessly lost.

Mrs. Jones is watering her petunias when she sees Princess wandering the streets. It's unusual to see a dog without a human, so she goes over to see what's up.

Mrs. Jones checks out Princess' tags. One of them is a mobiPET tag. She has no idea what mobiPET is, but that doesn't matter because all she needs is her cell phone. It doesn't matter what kind of phone, as long as she can take pictures and text on it. She follows the directions on the tag.

mobiPET ID tag is attached to dog collar to help when dog is found.
mobiPET ID Tag

Long story short, Princess is returned safe and sound and we all live happily ever after.

This imaginary story covers most of the facts about mobiPET, but there are a few more that might interest you.

mobiPET Facts

Microchips are invasive and can pose a health risk to your pet. mobiPET is attached to a collar, and even if the collar comes off you can still activate a search for your pet. All animal shelters, veterinarians, and boarders within 30 miles will receive an email with your pet's information and picture, along with a way to contact you if the dog is brought in.

If you preorder your mobiPET now, you only pay a onetime, lifetime fee of $24.95. You also get to update your information for free. After the national launch, it will cost $24.94 + a monthly fee of $9.95.

If you are on vacation and your pet gets lost, you still can use mobiPET. You will be asked to confirm your location, and you can input the correct one if you are out of town.

mobiPET doesn't require a special scanner. It doesn't require a special app, either. It works with any cell phone that has texting and can take pictures. Carrier doesn't matter. Or you can use their website.

If your dog already has a microchip, you may still find mobiPET useful. Microchips work after the dog is found. mobiPET helps you search for your pet. It's an extra layer of protection and peace of mind.

Dog tags are great, but if you move or change your phone number, you'll have to get a new ID tag for Fido. You can change your information with mobiPET and keep your original tag.

Currently mobiPET is only available in the United States.

How To Get mobiPET Now for $24.95

Until the launch, the preorder price will be $24.95. All you have to do is go to http://www.getmobipet.com/ Go ahead! Click, click, click!

On Sunday, You Mentioned A Giveaway

Yes. I do have a giveaway. I am giving away one (1) free mobiPET kit to someone in the United States. Will it will be you?

Should You Microchip Your Dog?

On March 9th, I wrote a response to an article in the L.A. Times about a dog that got lost and the crazy situation that ensued. In the comments of every article I read, people were waving their pitchforks at the original owner for not having the dog microchipped. But other comments brought up a good point. What if you don't think microchipping is good for your dog?

Arguments Against Microchipping

First, microchips don't always stay where they've been implanted. They sometimes migrate to other locations in the dogs' body. This poses a couple of problems. The implant can move to a location that causes a lot of pain. Or, if it isn't in the normal location when a dog is found, they might not check elsewhere on the dog to see if it migrated.

Also, just like humans, when a dog gets a microchip implanted their body sometimes rejects it. Tumors have sometimes been found around the injection site of dogs that have been microchipped.

One of the other problems with microchips is they use different frequencies. Many places have universal readers just for this reason, but not all places have them.

For some people, these are good enough reasons not to get their dog microchipped. But what if you didn't have to use microchips? What if there was an alternative?

Response To L.A. Times Article

I was surfing the net when I came across an article that definitely brought up a lot of emotions. I'd like to share the article with you along with my thoughts.

The Stir and the L.A. Times

I came across an article on The Stir about a mother and her 4-year-old son who lost their dog. You can read the article here. You can read the original L.A. Times article here. Also, there's another piece by Sandy Banks, author of the L.A. Times article that explores the topic more, which you can read by clicking here.

To summarize both, a woman lost her 8-month-old puppy named Rafiki and after checking her local animal shelter, posting on Craigslist, and posting on a Facebook group for lost dogs, she could not locate poor Raffiki.

What she didn't know was Raffiki was taken to a different animal shelter 10 miles away on the other side of town, and then was taken by Karma Rescue. Karma then sold the dog to another family.

The Drama

Things get complicated when the owner discovers Rafiki is at Karma. She calls to try and get her dog back, but no one answers. She leaves a voicemail, but no one heard it until after the dog was adopted by another family. Raffiki's owner fills out an application online and tries to get her dog back, but not only has the dog already been adopted, but she doesn't even qualify for her own dog.

Raffiki's new owners refuse to give the dog back, and while Karma still hasn't taken responsibility for what has happened, they at least seem to be trying to make sure it doesn't happen again.

One thing that still bothers me after reading the first article, though, is a comment from Karma's lawyer.
"Had she been a little more diligent, we would have spoken with her."
Ouch! That is a slap in the face if I ever read one.

I'll admit, there are three sides to every story and I would like to hear more from Karma's side and the new owners. I'm curious to see why they don't want to give the dog back.

Some Questions I Have

1. Why do we judge owners so harshly when a dog escapes? It's not always the owners' fault, and it isn't always completely preventable, either. Especially if the dog has never tried anything like that before. We should just be glad the owners care enough to go looking for the dog.

2. Is an owner negligent for not micro chipping their dog?

3. Should microchipping be enforced?

What do you think?

My Strong Bond With Nessie

I was taking a shower on May 26th, 2011 when I cut my leg while shaving. That tiny cut triggered a non-contagious, incurable, autoimmune disease called Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. I could barely walk for the first six months. I maxed out on walking or standing after 15 minutes if I was lucky. For six months I didn’t know if I’d ever get my energy back or be able to walk any length of time. I had to drop out of college because I couldn’t keep up with the workload.

After much perseverance and some exercise classes at the senior center I was able to run a 5k without triggering a flare (a flare is when symptoms ‘flare up’). Since then, things have been looking up and my lupus is even in remission. What hasn’t changed are my Lupus symptoms. I still get fatigue, and I still get a rash when I go out in the sun. I also have added another health problem to my list: Endometriosis. Soon I shall have surgery to officially diagnose and treat what’s going on in my reproductive organs, and I can’t wait.

My health history is part of the reason why Nessie and I have such a great bond. She’s missing a leg, and I am not like your average 20-something year old. I am inspired to keep pushing myself when I see Nessie doing things I never thought physically capable for a three-legged dog. She runs faster than Princess. Her back leg is strong enough that she can jump onto the bed, although sometimes she doesn’t quite make it and falls off.

Nessie is a caring dog, too. There have been a few occasions where I have been sick or in pain and she has stayed with me and kept an eye on me. She has watched over me when I’m curled up in pain and crying out. She cuddles next to me when I’m too tired to move. And when I was throwing up the day after my birthday she placed her paw on my shoulder while I clung to the porcelain thrown.

We made it official on the 10th of this month. I had gotten some birthday money, had some left over from my trip to Beverly Hills, and I took all our cans and plastic bottles to the recycling center. I managed to scrounge up $130. All I needed was $20 to have enough for the adoption fees. My husband gave me his plastic money and sent me off to make Nessie a member of our family. And now she is.

A Day At The Dog Park

Princess prancing at the park

Nessie discovered a scent!

We had a lovely evening at the park. Princess and Nessie played some canine football. Princess would grab a pinecone and run around while Nessie chased her and eventually bowl her over. And then they would start again. My husband and I spent most of the evening laughing at their antics until we thought they were sufficiently worn out. Then we went home and devoured the pot roast I made. Except the dogs, they just got normal dinner.

Princess and The Pasta Sauce Disaster

I've been sick for the past few days, and let's just say I never handle sickness well. Some of the casualties of this heinous cold are my dogs. I haven't taken them on a walk since I got sick so I decided to take them to the dog park and let them wear themselves out. I figured they'd forgive me for being a bad dog parent after taking them to the canine equivalent of Disneyland.

Even though it was about two hours from sunset, I could feel the heat from the sun on my face. There was barely a breeze. The atmosphere at the dog park felt like listening to 311's song "Amber". Well, if you like the song, that is.

I brought my camera thinking the lighting would make some great shots of the dogs. But they were absolutely boring in terms of photography. They just wanted to sniff things instead of run around. They also were
Princess loved to tease the barking quartet
distracted by very loud, barking dogs on the other side of the fence. After the barking quartet left, I asked Princess to do something interesting. She definitely did something interesting... just not at the dog park.
Two terrier mixes playing at the local dog park.
Just standing around, sniffing scents.

We drive home, the dogs just as energized as when we left, and then I started cooking dinner. Nothing fancy. Pasta sauce from a can. Pasta from a box. I made it a bit more interesting by cooking some peas and putting them in my pasta. It's very delicious if you like peas.

My husband and I sit down to eat and watch an episode of "Bones". I'm not a fan of watching "Bones" while we eat because rotting corpses ruin my appetite, but it's the only show my husband and I both like. After dinner he disappears into his mancave to play this weird game called Rust or something. It's a weird game and I still haven't figured out why he finds it interesting. So far he's gotten wood from a tree by hitting it with a rock and killed a bear that doesn't make turns very well. I don't get it. Anyways...

He's playing "Rust" and I'm about to work on a new blog post when I hear Princess counter-surfing. Counter surfing is where a dog reaches onto a counter so they can sneak something yummy to eat while you aren't looking. I yell "Off" but I can tell she ignored me because the next thing I hear is glass landing on the kitchen floor.

"Sh*t!"

I run to the kitchen expecting to see Princess standing in a sea of glass with blood squirting from her paws. Thank god that wasn't how it turned out. Instead, pasta sauce is EVERYWHERE. Luckily, the glass bowl didn't shatter, but Princess was face deep in the bowl filling her little tummy with tomato-basil pasta sauce.

"Out!" I yell as I pick up the glass bowl and start wiping up the mess all over the floor.

Of course she only listens for 5 seconds before coming back to try to help me clean the floors. I scoop her up and stomp into my husband's mancave.

"Your dog knocked your bowl off of the counter and spilled pasta sauce EVERYWHERE. You get to watch her."

I was livid.

My husband kicks the dog outside and helps me clean up. That's when he points out the ceiling.

"Oh my god, how did she manage that?!" I yell/laugh. There's a point in all anger where things get so bad they just become hilarious.

Yes, that is pasta sauce all over the ceiling.
She not only managed to get pasta sauce all over the ceiling, but she managed to get it inside the air vent. My husband and I spent a half hour standing on a stool trying to clean it out with Q-Tips. Eventually we gave up. We couldn't get the vent off because it's sealed the the ceiling with paint. Great. And it wasn't just on the ceiling, though I neglected to take pictures of the rest of it. Princess managed to get it on the carpet in the room outside the kitchen, all over the counters, on the cabinets on top and bottom of both sides of the kitchen, and all over the floor.

Princess, this wasn't what I meant by "do something interesting".

Has your dog ever created a disastrous mess?

Birthday Fun Update

I had a lot of fun on my birthday. The first half was a bit boring- my husband had to work. But I did get in a nice 2 hour bubble bath after I kicked the dogs outside. I played spa music on Pandora and used the voice control feature on my Surface to read an English translation of the Buddhacarita. It was the most relaxing thing I've done in months.

The Birthday Fun Stuff

After my hubby got home we went to one of his work friend's house and waited for everyone else to arrive. This part was very strange for me for a couple of reasons.

  1. This get-together had nothing to do with my birthday. We just showed up with my birthday cake.
  2. I didn't know anyone. My husband has the good habit of keeping work stuff at work and private life private. This means that I hadn't ever met any of these people before because they all work with the hubs. So I was spending my birthday with about 10 people I didn't know. Awkward...
  3. The hubs didn't really tell me what we were doing. I just got to find out as we went along.
Luckily for my husband it ended well and I had a great time. We first stopped at a Korean BBQ place where you BBQ your own food. Then after a couple of hours we went to a bikini bar where I got a lap dance from a very talented stripper.

The entire time a variety of alcoholic drinks were flowing and I broke the universal law of alcohol: Beer before liquor never sicker.

When we finally got home I ran straight to the toilet. Eventually I was able to go to bed and I woke up in close to the same state I fell asleep in. For most of the day I stayed close to the porcelain bowl where Princess and Nessie kept me company. Especially Nessie. I'm sure if I had let her, she would have placed her paw on my shoulder and held my hair back. It was the nicest thing a dog has ever done for me.

So all that maturity stuff I said on my birthday sure seems like nonsense now. Especially since I still feel very, very lousy. Hope you had a good weekend!

My Birthday

It is my birthday!!! Yay!

Usually on your birthday you feel a little bit older and a little bit wiser, or so I've found. But this year I feel young and not so wise. Maybe it's a sign of maturity. But probably not. I would totally have a plastic sword fight if given the chance.

As another sign of my immaturity, you should see what my husband got me for my birthday.

That's right You are looking at a giant stuffed hippo. And a box of chocolates. Could a girl get a better present? I doubt it. Now I just hope Princess doesn't think my hippo is a toy.

I've been given quite a few hippos and I've named them all. What should I name my new hippo?

Starting February With The Flu

I was planning on starting February off with a bang. Not only is it the month of one of my favorite holidays (Valentine's Day, of course) but it is also the month of my birthday. I was going to write about love and how it is the most important thing we can do as humans and how we should love like dogs do. But not anymore.

My husband has the stomach flu. In my opinion, it's a pretty bad case. Even the medicine given to him through an IV couldn't stop him from throwing up. We ended up staying at urgent care until 3 in the morning. I've been babying him as much as I could today keeping him hydrated and fed. But now I'm starting to feel like I've got the stomach flu, too. Which doesn't surprise me. My immune system is too busy fighting itself to fight the real enemy.

Since this blog is devoted to my puppy family I'm sure you aren't as interested in hearing so much about the flu as you are about my dogs. I will save my speech about love for Valentine's day, or maybe my birthday and today I will leave you with a picture and then go focus on keeping my lunch where it belongs.

Remember to wash your hands and take your vitamins!

Babysitting the Siblings

Last weekend I babysat two of Nessie's other children. Having four dogs in the house was insanity but we all had a blast. Poor Princess had to be carried to bed those nights because she was too tired to walk herself.

One Blog, One Tree

I was looking through StumbleUpon when I came across a website with a "One Blog, One Tree" button. I had no idea what that meant but it looked interesting, so I clicked on it.

Green Gestures

It led to Green Gestures, a website that will plant a tree for your blog for free if you write a post about it on your blog and then e-mail them at greengestures@retale.com with the URL of your post.

I thought that was pretty cool, and so did Princess and Nessie. One tree can counteract the effects of this blog. We love nature here at Princess the Puppy and we also care about reducing CO2 emissions. I know the biggest intent is to stop global warming, but what many people forget is the health benefits of reducing the CO2 in the air.

As a Lupus patient, I know a lot about how different things affect your health and body. Air pollution, like CO2, does a lot of damage. Air pollution can increase the risk of lung cancer, heart disease, and asthma. Global warming caused by air pollution can cause extreme heat (sometimes leading to heat stroke and can aggravate current health problems), drought, extreme weather, and it can make the spread of infectious diseases easier (think Dengue Fever, West Nile Virus, and Lyme Disease).

I know the idea of helping the environment can sometimes seem like something big or unnecessary. We expect some treehugger to save the planet for us. Focus instead on how you will be improving your health and your children's health. A world with less asthma, less lung cancer, and less Lyme disease. You want to be there for your pets and the pets you will have in the future. This is just one small step to get you there.

If you have a blog and would like to join the tree party, go to http://retale.com/green/make-a-green-gesture/participate/ to get started.

PetBox Review: A Wonderful Experience

On New Year's Eve I was sitting in front of my computer participating in the giveaway #BlogPawsChat had going on. They had partnered up with PetBox and were giving away free PetBoxes like Oprah on Christmas. Princess, Nessie, and I were one of the chosen ones and we couldn't stop wiggling our butts from excitement. We've been dying to try out these magical things everyone in the dog world are talking about but who knew being married was so expensive? By year two of marriage our finances should be more stable but until then we have to hold off on the spoiling of the fur babies unless we take advantage of wonderful opportunities like this one. I jumped at the chance to see what all the hype was about. An entire box devoted to spoiling your fur babies seemed like a wonderful dream. The only bad part was waiting for it to arrive. Patience is a virtue I don't quite possess.

I received my PetBox yesterday from a hot FedEx man with a sparkly, white smile. For a moment I swore I was in a commercial. There was the handsome FedEx man in a crisp, new-looking uniform. He held the blue-and-white box like he knew it would make someone very happy. And oh, it was. The knowing grin he flashed me gave him away, too. I looked through the hideous storm door some idiot decided would look great on all the houses on base and watched him walk away. A moment before he stepped into his brown chariot, he turned and flashed me a dazzling, white smile, turned back to his vehicle and drove off into the sunset never to be seen by mortal eyes again. Okay, that last part is a lie. It was barely 1 o' clock. No sunset for quite a few hours.

Princess liked him, too. When I finally rejoined the real world I noticed she had pushed in front of me and was standing with her paws and nose pressed against the storm door, her eyes wide with longing. How could he leave without petting her? But after he was gone all she wanted was the box. I still can't decide if it's because she likes to chew boxes or she could tell something fun was inside.

We opened the box to singing angels and a holy light beaming from the inside of the box. It was like Christmas morning all over again. The box was stuffed to the brim with some pretty awesome stuff. I'd describe them all, but I think pictures are a better option.

We did try some of the stuff in the box yesterday. I had maintenance over to fix our guest bathtub and master bathtub but Nessie is afraid of men. When she gets scared she runs under our bed in the farthest part where our arms can't reach. Well the guys needed to go in our bedroom to get to the bathroom and I didn't want Nessie freaking out. The only way to get her out from under the bed is to bribe her with yummy treats. I decided to try the Smooches Chicken and Raspberry dog treats.

I swear, those things have doggy crack in them. Nessie LOVES them. I've never seen her get so excited for a treat before. Not even for chicken. I tried it on Princess with the exact same reaction. She went nuts for them. I think they've become addicted to them. Like I said, there has to be doggy crack in them.

New Year Winning Face

Here's our face last night at the Twitter party (#BlogPawsChat) when we won a PetBox from GetPetBox.com. Also, Princess tried to drink my beer while I wasn't looking. The little opportunist.

The #WordlessWednesday bloghop was closed when I went to get the link. I guess we'll have to celebrate by ourselves today.
